THE OLIVE GROVE, 15016 Rester Drive, Brooksville. (Click for Driving Directions)

The Olive Grove in Brooksville. This is the back area where seminars and soap making classes are conducted. You can purchase olives, olive trees, fresh pressed olive oil, olive bread, soap, and other olive products.

Classes in Olive Soap Making, Olive Bonsai Tree Making… which is interesting because Olive Trees can live to be over 2,000 years old, so if you have an olive Bonsai tree it could be passed down for many, many generations. Also classes in Mosaic Pot Making, Olive Curing and Bottling, Free Olive Tree Growing Seminars. Events throughout the year with live music, snacks and beverages free. Sometimes with venders and multiple bands. 🙂

ABOUT THE PERFORMER: Performing live during this filming was Amber Lynn Nicol

Amber Lynn is a country singer-songwriter currently living in Nashville, TN. Her much anticipated, full-length album, “Broader Horizons was released on December 15, 2012.

The previous year, her “Beach Day” EP landed her several slots on national TV, college and community radio stations. Amber Lynn was featured in TBT’s 2012 Best Local Musicians Guide. Also in 2012, Amber Lynn opened for Fiona Apple, Aaron Lewis, Juliet Simms, Edwin McCain, David Cook, and Dick Dale.

In January of 2013, Amber Lynn relocated to Nashville, TN to further her songs and her sound and to study Music Production at MTSU. She’s busy writing with other song crafters, playing shows throughout the Southeast Region, and enjoying her music courses at the University.

She’s working on releasing a live, acoustic album in 2013 and a new full-length studio album later next year.

Amber Lynn performs on occasion at the olive grove along with many other acts arranged by Dede Davis who’s previous professional endeavors included talent booking agent and band promoter. Dede now brings that edge in booking great entertainment to the Olive Grove in Brooksville.

I’m interested in soap making classes.
What is your schedule?
Thank you

Hi Virginia! The grove schedule for soap making is listed on this most recent press release (released 9/25/23) where Dede says she’ll be holding a workshop on October 5th:

“October 5th 2013 – Soap Making Workshop

Learn to make soap the old fashioned way using all natural ingredients. Lavender, Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Lye. You go home with your own all natural brick of soap and mold. Makes 12 -18 bars $20.00

We have added an October 5th Soap Making Workshop that will be held along with Making Extracts from Olive Leaves, Mint or Lavender. Learn how to make extracts for teas, health and soaps and how to make all natural Castile (olive oil soap) from scratch. You will learn about the health benefits of the herbs, make and bring home your extract and dropper bottle. $25.00 for both or $20.00 for soap only.”

So that should do for now. The Grove will be stopping seminars and workshops some time in December to get ready for the Kingston Trio. So There may be more in November or December. Either call or go to the Olive Grove’s Olive Seminars and Workshops page.

That aught to do it Virginia. Thanks!

I’m living in Brooksville 20 yrs. and never heard of the olive grove. I had a great time making an oil lamp and bought an olive tree. Left it in the pot outside and will, hopefully, do all the right things needed to keep this growing.
Thanks for a great time and met such nice people at my table.
Will be back for bonzai class.
Betty O.
