Music is everywhere in Brooksville.

From outdoor bands, Elvis impersonators, street musicians, indoor musical events to the award winning Bandshell Bash... music is everywhere in Brooksville.

From outdoor bands, Elvis impersonators, street musicians, indoor musical events to the award winning Bandshell Bash... music is everywhere in Brooksville.

Our fair city has the Bandshell Bash once a month and the Rising Sun Cafe has numerous events where live music is performed.  There is often one or more live musicians at the Farmers Market each Saturday on Main street from early morning until 2pm, and an Elvis impersonator performs monthly at the Coney Island Drive In (www.coneyislanddrivein.com).  Also at Coney Island you’ll find the band ”My Brother’s Scar” performing on Christian Youth Night.  For something really unique that you may not know, Mary Kirkconnel of Peace Tree Trading is a wonderful flute player who also plays Native American Flute – at certain times she has visting Native American musicians playing on traditional instruments in her log cabin Trading Post (www.peacetreetrading.com).  If you’ve been to any of the events, feel free to comment on how well you enjoyed the music, and let future visitors to the Blog read your thoughts.
