We'd like to make this site the kind of place where you can find out more about what's happening in and around Brooksville.

Last month the Dancing Buffalo Ranch on Mondon Hill Road hosted a fun and culturally enriching Pow Wow event.  Not only are there are not only at least a dozen buffalo on that 53 acre ranch, but there are also FOUR all terrain vehicle paths to visit.  The ranch is large enough so that the ATV's can take to the trails without intruding on the main staging area for the Pow Wows and Buffalo grazing area, and private events can be hosted without interference.  Mary Kirkconnell of Peace Tree Trading who has just moved her genuine Native American articles shop from Tampa into Brooksville is very interested in organizing Pow Wows at the ranch herself, and this promises great possibilities.  If you would like to see this happen call Peace Tree Trading at: (352) 797-7886.

Nobleton (Canoe & Kayak) Outpost, pub and campground is another fine example of a great place just fifteen minutes from Downtown Brooksville where canoing and boating on the Withlacoochie River running through the Withlacoochie State Forest is a reality.  This is Florida, and Florida to lots of folks means "aligators"... you'll see plenty of wildlife in and along the Withlacoochie River guaranteed.

As we are a not for profit providing a public service, part of the mission statement of the Brooksville Business Alliance is to stimulate public interest and participation in Brooksville events and happenings in and around the city.  Please help us become more aware of events we are missing by submitting them to us using the form at the bottom of this page.
Come by Nobleton Outpost, Rent a Canoe or a Kayak - or snack and have a few cool beers and relax.  The woman pictured above works at Nobleton Outpost and sometimes enjoys going outside to play guitar.  Life, the way you remember it best.
This Months Webmaster Surprise Extra:
Are you aware that Bill Gates included the music video "Good Times" (above) by Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians on the Windows 95 installation CD in the "Extras" folder?  Most people didn't know that it was right there on the CD.  It didn't install on the computer, there was no mention of it anywhere, and you had to get curious as to what else was on the CD to  find it.  Not many did.

Ever Hear of Edie Brickell?
Welcome Snowbirds!

SO WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET ALL THIS "GLOBAL WARMING" THE GOVERNMENT KEEPS PROMISING US?
"Florida, here we come!"

At This Month's Bandshell Bash: The Fabulous "Charlie Vega Band"!
Charlie Vega and his band also performed for us at the Brooksville Depot during Founders Week two years ago.
The Charlie Vega Band opened with fabulous music and wonderful entertainment that continued until half past six followed by "The Troy Shondell 50’s Reunion".

Some of the regular vendors who come and support the Bandshell Bash included Jackie with her genuine handcrafted genuine Swarovski Crystals.  Jackie teaches jewelry classes and can be reached at 352-573-3198/3158.  Also party designer Catherine "Cat" Peffrey is there with charms, T-Shirts & jewelry for sale.  Artist Valdora Ward was there as well, selling hand-painted waterproof paint umbrellas, carved gourds, painted turkey feathers and more.  Three food vendors were also present and the Main Street Eatery is alway open on Bandshell Bash night until 8pm.  Boy Scout Troop 71 was there and is holding a BBQ Fundraiser - if you're interested, act fast and call 585-3784 to buy a ticket for a wonderful BBQ take-out-dinner on March 28th to support the troop's trip to the Kennedy Space Center.
